“Are you going to deny there’s something between us?” I trembled and drew my arms back across my chest.

“No. I know there’s something between us, something I’ve never felt before, something intensely powerful. But…” The light in his eyes softened, and a tic pulsed in his stubbly, square jaw.

The water ran in the bathroom, and I smiled. I could use a shower to perk me up. Showering with Merrick sounded even more appealing. I opened the unlocked bathroom door, taking that as a sign I was meant to join him. Quickly, I shed my clothes and unbraided my hair.

I slid the shower curtain open and caught Merrick with his hand wrapped around his erect penis. The erotic sight hardened my nipples and sent a yearning ache through my sex.
